How to get into an emergency drop-in shelter or 90-day shelter

Everyone 18+ (without kids)

Sign up in person during open hours at one of the sites listed below, no ID needed. 

Once you're signed up, you may apply for a 1-night shelter bed in person after 4:30pm daily. Call 311 or 415-701-2311 to get on the waiting list for a 90-day shelter bed. 


Women 18+ (without kids)

Sign up for a shelter bed at one of the sites below. A variety of longer term stays are offered, ranging from 7 days to 18 months.


Families & Pregnant Women

For families experiencing homelessness and pregnant women, contact one of the following access points to sign up for shelter.


Women Survivors of Domestic Violence or Trafficking (with or without kids)

Call one of these 24 hours crisis lines for shelter information.


Youth (18-24)
